Volunteering: Things to Know
The first step in volunteering with Frisco Family Services is to contact the Volunteer Services Manager at volunteer@friscofamilyservices.org. The Volunteer Services Manager will connect with you about ways to support Frisco Family Services and discuss our process.
Adults:18 Years Old and Older
You must pass a criminal background check in order to volunteer with Frisco Family Services. Volunteer drivers must also pass a motor vehicle record check. (A suggested $10.00 donation to help defray the cost of the background check is requested.) We must receive a completed Background Check before you can start volunteering. Please contact the Volunteer Services Manager at volunteer@friscofamilyservices.org.
Teens: 16- & 17-Year-Olds
To serve as a volunteer by yourself, you will need a signed parental consent form as well as attend a Teen Volunteer Orientation. Please contact the Volunteer Services Manager at volunteer@friscofamilyservices.org.
PLEASE CHECK THIS PAGE FOR UPDATES ON VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES FOR CHILDREN UNDER 16.
Previously, children ages 4-10 years old would take part in our Little Hands opportunities created just for them. Children ages 11-15 would volunteer only if a parent had completed orientation. Again, please check this page for updates and changes to our current volunteer policy.
